I know that they scrub and exfoliate your hands a lot during manicures which could wear down some of your henna, so I was wondering if I should make the manicure appointment before the henna appointment? And I am making my henna appointment 3 days before the actual wedding because that’s the only time I can squeeze it in really. So would it work to have my manicure done on the same day before the henna or after? Also, what kind of manicure would you guys suggest? Natural polished manicure or acrylic, etc?

Before! The henna will fade sooner if you have the manicure afterwards.

if you are getting a manicure 4 days before your wedding.. you may need to get touchups for your manicure since by day 4 the polish might start to come off.

But, why colour your nails days before the wedding? It would interfere with namaz and you can easily paint your nails on the day of wedding alongwith the makeup. Fake nails can also be put on at the last minute.

^Yeah, i realized that! I've decided to use glue on nails for the day of, so i'm just going to get a manicure without the polish or anything. :)

^I'm thinking about using the kiss glue on nails, probably just the pearl white tip french ones.. do you think I should do a color? If so I want to order them in colors or have them painted before hand. hmm.. what do you think looks best on mehndi covered fingertips? I love the traditional look hehe. :) either way, I'm SO glad these things exist, they take seconds to pop on, look pretty natural, and stay on until you want them to!

You could get away with a color if your mehndi si simple but if it's heavy on your hand, definitely go for a french tip or nude color...it looks nice

Will you be having French tips for both shaadi and valima? You could use coloured polish for the baraat day and just French tips for the valima!
