Is this notion of considering someone Manhoos prevails in all cultures?
Do you think that education has eradicated such concepts totally? There are things like keeping widows away from the bride / groom for saving them from nahoosat.
On other hand, there are concepts like ‘get marry, aane wali ki barkat se rizq badhe ga’, etc. One of our colleague was not qualifying his last two papers for many attempts and soon after his marriage he passed one paper. someone suggested to marry again to get qualified.

Good. Filhaal mere bacche ke final exams chal rahe hai…lagta hai its easier to get him married than make him study. Marks bahu leke aayegi

Sardarni would be fit for bringing marks after fighting. BTW the lady who fought Yamraj ( I think her name was Sawtri) belonged to which area?

i don't know, she was from ancient kingdom of madra, as far as my memory serve, it was eastern India, possibly orissa. this is story of Mahabharat :)
