i was so enthousiastic, i could nearly taste it :(

Re: MANGO LASSI

I make it at home and it has become so popular among our family/friends!
Take yogurt, milk, sugar and mango pulp.. blend it all together, add some ice to it, blend some more and it's done =)

Re: MANGO LASSI

Ok, normal yoghurt? And how much youghurt, mangopulp do i need for one whole blender?

Re: MANGO LASSI

yes, normal yogurt. honestly, i don't measure any of the stuff, i do it andazay se. for one glass, you can do one cup yogurt, 1/4 cup mango pulp, 1/2 cup milk, and sugar by taste.

								1 cup plain yogurt

1/2 cup milk
1 cup chopped mango (peeled and stone removed)
4 teaspoons sugar, to taste
A dash of ground cardamom (optional)

							 								 								 									**Method**

Put mango, yogurt, milk, sugar and cardamom into a blender and blend for 2 minutes, then pour into individual glasses, and serve. Can sprinkle with a little cardamom.

The lassi can be kept refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
Makes about 2 cups.

Re: MANGO LASSI

Last time I had mango lassi at a restaurant I was sure I could taste 'butter milk' in it. Try adding some of that as one of the ingredients.

Re: MANGO LASSI

i use haagen daaz mango sorbet because i dnt have any desi stores around me.. but it tastes awesome and its fat free :hehe:

Re: MANGO LASSI

If you're not using mango as a fruit, I suggest you get the pulp from an indian store and not any local american store. I have tried using the pulp they sell there and it tastes gross/sour in lassee.

Okaysh,

thanks for all the suggestions, will try it :)
hope it turns out magnificanto :biggthumb
