**Violence against women is common in rural areas of the country and many women are victim of “honour killings” by their husbands, brothers or relatives…
Having come back to Pakistan I’ve heard of several such or worse incidents where husband killed his wife over a petty argument like wanting to go to her parents home for Eid or how a wife was burnt or shot because the husband was having an affair with another woman and his wife objected to it !..These are not incidents in far flung villages but in towns and major cities , so saying it happens ONLY in uneducated societies or rural parts of the country is turning a blind eye to what’s happening !
My question is how many times is the Man actually Punished for such crimes within our judicial system ?
You read about how a case or report was filed but you never read or hear in the news that justice was served ! Why ?

No they are not limited to only Pakistan ......
You hear about Bride Burning cases , domestic violence around the world , but usually you hear that the perpetrator was brought to justice too............unfortunately rarely do you hear such animals being locked up or hanged in our system !
That's cz desi men poop butterflies and fart rainbows according to our desi gurus here.
At least someone IN Pakistan acknowledges that this happens, all too often people living in Pakistan esp don't want to accept the reality that this happens, OR they try to turn it around and put attention on others! Its sick and these men should be punished severely!
this is one of the case that has been reported or published there are thousands of abuse cases / domestic violence that are unreported and people take it as normal everyday routine. The best excuse given by the husband or his family is " woh to mard hai jo chahy karay usko ghusa aa gaya hoga " so all the blame is easily shifted on the victim (woman) for making him angry.
