Man sentenced for encouraging kids to beat mother

LAWRENCE, Kan. – A Kansas man who encouraged his children to try to kill their mother by beating her with a baseball bat has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Arthur Davis III of Lawrence was sentenced Monday for attempted first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping and contributing to a child’s misconduct.
Prosecutors say Davis encouraged his 12-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son to kill his ex-wife last June. After the children began beating her, Davis went to her house and joined the attack.
The woman escaped and was treated for cuts to her head.
The daughter was granted immunity for testifying against her father. The son entered a plea to a reduced charge of aggravated battery and was sentenced Friday to three years in state custody. He will serve the sentence at a state youth center.

:-O shocking, but why did the kids listen to their dad?didnt they have any love for their mother at all to refuse what he told them to do? very sad.

If the stupid man had issues with his wife why didn't he just leave her? The wife and daughter should beat him for a change once he gets out of prison after 25 years.

Sickening. Cowards beat women, as i have always said times are changing. even if the woman was at fault the best policy would be to leave her.......

Strange world we live in today, brings to mind one of the first things i learned in the English language. I quote from a 1950's Atiqs practical English book

"Honey is not for an Asses mouth." How true our elders were, perhaps they foresaw this dog eat dog world we live in today.
