**Manchester City fought back from a goal down in a stormy affair as Chelsea’s lead at the top was cut to two points.**Chelsea led when Shay Given made a fine double save, but the ball rebounded in off Emmanuel Adebayor’s back.
City rallied and Adebayor diverted into the right net, although Chelsea were convinced Micah Richards had handled.
After the break Carlos Tevez fired in a 20-yard free-kick and Given kept out Frank Lampard’s penalty as an incensed Chelsea slid to a third league defeat.
