Arghhh. I know they say how a man treats his mother is a clue to how he'll treat his wifey but arghhhh - some men really, really need to grow up and display signs of independence!
I agree with ya SU! It's important to honor and respect your mother. But like they say, too much of anything is not good. Moms are human and like all other human beings they are not perfect and are not immune to negative emotions such as jealousy. Keeping that in mind allows for a broader understanding of issues. Being a respectful and caring son is one thing. But being a mama's boy can be a turn-off...a nauseating and disturbing quality.......especially when mom is being supported for viewpoints that are clearly wrong!
