Re: Malik Ishaq granted bail
I could have agreed with this argument if Malik Ishaq’s was the only case of a known terrorist going scott free. But unfortunately I don’t remember a single incident where any sectarian terrorist was ever punished by our courts.
I have heard that if a police officer fails to prove a case against any culprit he produced in court then he should be incarcerated for 2 years. Again, no court including CJ has ever used this provision ever.
It’s a shame that Iftikhar’s courts have paid compensation for terrorists killed during Lal Masjid seige and only recently let go of their main fasaadi figure, Maulana Abdul Aziz.
Sometimes it looks to me that we have a Lashkar e Jhangvi supporter sitting as CJ of Pakistan.
Please don’t be so naive. CJ will quickly jump on it and take another suo moto action. He will ensure that such policemen get maximum punishment possible.
Then people like you would be saying that what CJ did in such a case was according to the law. And that nobody should criticize him for punishing policemen who killed a person extrajudicially, even if that person was a known terrorist.
