Loss of a little bit of sensation would still be better than no satisfaction at all tho, or actual pain.. Must be horrific going thru that every time you do “it”, go the toilet and give birth.. Sounds like a life sentence..

Most vehemently opposed it and cited potential complications like amputaion, infection that could be life threatening and disfigurment. Issue was also raised of consent, where a baby is being operated when he cannot consent and benefits are not uniformly accepted by pediatric professional societies.

I am no doctor, but I believe there is a risk for complications in most all surgical procedures. There is nothing wrong in discussing the necessity of male circumcision, and whether its wise to take this risk with ones children’s life or not. Any complications will certaily lead to a ruined life for the child involved.

But its still not mutilation, if done properly and no complications arise.

There are experts that beleive male circumcision also reduces satisfaction because removed skin has sensory nerves that rest of organ does not have.

Experts cite benefits and disadvantages. IMO debate should rather be about the necessity and risk for complications, and then decide whether its wise or not to perform ritual male circumcision.

And this debate should not be shunned vehemently, just because you believe it goes against your religious belief.

Your childs well being should prevail over (perceived) religious belief each and every time.

Exactly! It could be a case of mutilation if it’s done wrong. There’s no right way of performing FGM because there is no extra skin to remove unless it’s Labiaplasty which some women get later in life. Male Circumcision is like Labiaplasty, FGM is not. FGM can cause life long complications for women and offers ZERO benefits.

P.S. Don’t google Labiaplasty at work.
