ISLAMABAD: Malaysia is expected to increase its investments in Pakistan, particularly in food manufacturing and oleo chemicals.

Malaysian minister of plantation industries in an interview said that there is much space to invest in food manufacturing and oleo chemicals sectors in Pakistan.

It is expected Malaysian palm oil exporters will consider setting up food manufacturing and oleo chemical businesses in Pakistan, he said.

He said that a 50-member Malaysian delegation led by him would arrive in Karachi, April 17-21, to attend Malaysia-Pakistan Palm Oil Trade seminar.

It is not only Malaysians, infact the whole GCC region is expolring opportunities in Pakistan, Petro-Chemicals, Utilities, Telecom and Logistics are main areas of interest for these investors.

Though Investment in above sectors is considered good but GoP should come up with the policy that these investors have to contribute in other sectors mainly in producing consumable export items as well , and then the common man will be enjoy the fruit of Foreign Investments.
