Look … the cleanest way to do this is to get a full march in to the area and suffer some losses on the way … but neither is the army looking to suffer any losses nor is it unhappy entertaining the Americans with their radio controlled plane games …
Current situations will not result in a simple take over - but a drawn out bloody masacre of tribals on an uneven playing field.
Marching in will also generate sympathy for the tribals … Pak army and America don’t want that … And I feel more than anything secular strategists want to maintain the status quo in order to continue demeaning Islam … They want it to come out of the Muslim mindset - to ensure the people are going to be “cleansed” of their religious baggage …
