Making upholstery smell nice

Crazy idea , but i wanna ask anyways .. ab aaph log sai kia chupana :@:

I sprayed bits of my Tommy Girl Perfume on the cushion covers and the sofa covers and the curtains… and the table cover … coz i wanted them to smell nice :@:

Then i thought i cant be wasting my perfumes on them … what are the better techniques of making the upholstery smell nice ? the fabric softeners and perfumers never work for me .. I have tried it and they just dont give out that lovely fragrance …

any ideas? :@:

Re: Making upholstery smell nice

I'd like to know something like this for the towels.I use fabric softeners in the washer and then in the dryer too. They come out smelling nice. But when it is time to use them there is no nice fragrance...:(
what to do...??

and CB you are right the fabric softeners/fragrances (we have Febreze here) never works, not for me atleast..!!

Re: Making upholstery smell nice

Chipsie , take out your best perfume and be lavish with it :fatee:

Re: Making upholstery smell nice

Drop a few drops of u're favorite scented oil onto cotton-wool and place them in the cushion covers... I do the same with towels while folding them.

Re: Making upholstery smell nice

Hmmm thats a clever tip Gina , thanks so much for sharing :hugz:

Re: Making upholstery smell nice

Have you tried those shake n vac thingies?...you know the ones you sprinkle on the carpet and leave before vacuuming?...I did that on my sofas by laying the cushions flat, but it's a bit tedious so only did it the once.

Re: Making upholstery smell nice

hmmm charmed , I did that once long time ago but the scent just stays for a bit then it vanishes , similar to the softners .... also its tedious work ...

Re: Making upholstery smell nice

The oil trick works

Linen sprays are nice

Febreeze works well

Drawer satchets work too...they're pre-scented and you just stick them anywhere

Re: Making upholstery smell nice

the natural oil sprays work well...I also put drawer liners in the sofa cushions(where ppl can't see) + put pot pori in a a thin muslin cloth and hang it behind curtains...
