salary.com would disagree with your analysis :) btw yes there may be more guys with undergrads making 100K+ then those with masters or phds, but thats just a factor of the number of people with bachelors only..
the more telling number is what percentage of those with masters and phds makes over 100K vs the %age of those with bacelors... and at what age..

Actually taking it further there are few additional variables:
It's not the actual degree but the subject that matters. Finance, Engineering, and Nursing compared to Art History, English etc., there is no match. An art history masters will make nowhere near a Finance bachelors grad.
The second area that folks forget is the actual cost of living. In NYC $100K will go no where as far as say Omaha, NE.
The third area is the school. If you compare Chico state with Princeton clearly the difference in starting salaries even at the bachelors level will be stark.
I don't mean to be crass but most Ivy League grads that graduated in the 00's and went into Consulting/I-Banking started in the $50s base + $30-60K bonus. It all went up from there.
