I was watching CNN and they showed how some ‘chip’ is being invented to be placed on keys that will limit the kids from going over 80mph, will not let them turn the volume higher than a certain level and sound off an alarm if the seat belt is not worn.

sounds like a good way to protect silly teens from speeding and killing themselves..
they should also make it compulsory to have your alcohol level checked prior to entering the car..
a guy I work with, his friend has one and if he's over the limit, the car doesnt unlock... interesting

well the device for speeding is very much common in europe. it doesn let u accelerate ur car above a specific speed.
i didn use it myself but saw that on "TOP GEAR" and "FIFTH GEAR".
and all the new cars already come with the seat belt alarm and light now.
so the only thing left is the volume thingi

I used it back in 2001 in Oman. If you try to accelerate above 80 KMH, it actually starts slowing you down.
That is amazing! And it makes total sense too. Can you imagine the amount of accidents prevented and lives saved by having this made a standard device in cars?

yah install a tracking chip, soon they'll find out, take it out and put it on a bird's leg and then parents wil be going crazy trying to find their son whose flying all around the world into PERU w/oe ven realizing!!!

I think kids are pretty effing safe already. I think we need to shake things up and make things a little more dangerous for kids. You might find yourself saying "aahmed, that's horrible, why would you say that?" and I would respond by stating that there are too many stupid kids around already. I think natural selection deserves a chance to claim a few kids here and there.
