making duas in arabic

I can understand arabic for the purpose of namaz, but why do we make dua’s in arabic?

safar ki dua, naye kam ki dua waghera waghera.. the ‘official’ ones are all in arabic.

agar amal ka daromadar niyat pe hei to aisi duayein kyu parhne ko kaha jata hay jisme pata hi na ho kay kia manga?

Re: making duas in arabic

there is always the translation available. Norm for me to get hold of the english translation to know what am i reading

Re: making duas in arabic

u can always go for a translation....
most of the duaas r sunnah....
and we read them just to act on the sunnah of the Prophet (saw)....
since translations r almost never perfect, hence we try to stick to the exact words used by the Prophet (saw) so that we dont miss out anything from the duaa....
just a matter of being cautious in following the sunnah....

Re: making duas in arabic

Don’t innovate, imitate. Do your duas sunnah style where possible :smooth:

Ok, I basically just rephrased armughal. So shoot me…
