Naaa not the movies that you download. I find the ones that are already compressed rather then the ones that are sitting at 3-4 gigs. Thats indian movies.

The english ones the boys download them for me, and i've got vlc plus media classic all coded so not worried bout 'em.

Im talking bout ripping movies off DVDs that i rent from BlockBuster. Sometimes they are only one nighters and i dont get a chance to watch 'em I tried ripping one and it ended up being around 3 gigs. which sucks. I'd rather fit around 3 movies on one DVD. My DVD player plays most formats so not worried bout the format.

I'd probably be looking for compressing software. Which ones are good??

I never tried ripping DVDs myself but most of the ripped videos available for dowload use DivX (and almost all DVD players can play DivX movies). You can find more info at
