Making a Rose with whipped cream...

A question to all the brilliant bakers out there …

Has any one of your tried making a rose decoration on the cake with the usual whipped cream? does it stay nice and steady or melts down?

I know most people use butter cream Icing to do the rose decoration … but I dont have the ingredients enough for the butter cream icing .. I want to use the normal Whipped cream instead ..

Any advise?

If u mean the rose with piping bag then yes. I usually make them on a butter paper and refrigerate. Then i decorate my cake with the best ones.

thanks Jalpari .. do you have a picture of the rose? share with us please :@:

Re: Making a Rose with whipped cream...

How does the rose set? I like the taste of whip cream better than butter cream but whenever I have tried to decorate with whip cream it always melts.....I've heard of adding cornstarch.....haven't tried it yet

Re: Making a Rose with whipped cream…

yeah thats my issue too Guac … Last time i tried it , the rose melted away … so while I am going to make sure I whip the cream to stiff peaks .. I dunno if it would be any good without any stabilizers :hmmm:

Re: Making a Rose with whipped cream...

You need to beat the cream really well along with icing sugar. It will thicken and increase in volume. But if you beat it beyond that point, it turns into butter. So you have to be cautious. Ill search for a pic CB.
