From the BBC website - they have a section where anyone is welcome to contribute pictures to their website for inclusion in a weekly summary of what’s occurring around the world. This picture for some reason really hit me - it was sent in by Marie Sylvain-Holmgren. He earns his living by sifting through garbage. His smile and his salute are so infectious - you can’t help but smile looking at his tiny, innocent face.
