Over the years, we’ve seen many Pakistanis earn global recognition for their accomplishments. In recent times, Pakistanis like Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (academy award winner) and Malala Yousafzai (co-recipient of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize) have received worldwide recognition for their efforts. There are many other Pakistanis who continue to make great strides forward in various fields and deserve to be recognized at the international level. Their successes and accomplishments are also helping the nation of Pakistan progress while painting a positive image globally.
We would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge one such person who has been invited to The White House to speak at the 7th Annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit at Stanford University. Pakistani tech entrepreneur Jehan Ara has been sent a letter on behalf of U.S. President Barrack Obama to attend the event where she is asked to be a speaker on a panel discussion on ‘Investing in South Asia: What’s Next for Entrepreneurship in India, Pakistan, and Beyond’.
