Re: making a change..
Make a list of things you already have and that you want to acheive .
Making long term goals is good (eg. for the end of the the year/month), in order to keep you from drifitng, but you'll probably find that making shorter more acheivable goals are far more rewarding and more likely to help you acheive that long term goal.
For example, setting 1-2 goals either for today/ tomorrow/the weekend or even next week (I think fortnight is too long a space for short goals but it depends). Note down your goals, as in who, what, where, and how you plan to achieve it, and thennote down what you will reward yourself with if you do manage to acheive it with the time set. Neither goal, nor reward has to be too big or expensive.
Something simple as, going to the gym for one hour session tomorrow, or i will cook some special food today will suffice, and then make a plan on how, what, whens, with whom or for whom, you will cook, and then once done, make sure you reward youreself as planned....be it buying something nice for yourself, spending time with friends or family, having a lie in, giving sadaqa etc.
If goal was unattained, then note down in your plan/review, why you think that was, and what changes you can make if the same obstacle arises next time. and then move on to your next goal.
Start with one small goal at a time, and as you build up the practise attaining your targets, the more easier it will become. Give it a month or two, after which it will become like second nature and youl'l be able to use it in all aspect of your life, and that too, without as much plannig or details as before.
Also review your notes weekly atleast, inorder to see you're progress and to be able to set bigger targets....it will also help you realise how far you may have come in the process and reflect on where you can still improve.
