yeh, you need some light natural makeup. so some light foundation, blush that gives a natural flush (it should not be obvious you are wearing it), a bit of gloss on the lips. a must in my opinion, is properly concealed eyes, with or without a light sweep of a pearly beige eyeshadow and mascara. if you don’t want to look like you have makeup on, keep the eyeliner minimal.

^ This! If the mehendi is a VERY simple event (ie. being held at a house with a handful of people) then I think the no-make-up/100% natural look works. But if you’re actually having a formal mehendi with guests, decor etc…then a little natural make-up is necessary. I’ve seen brides do the no-makeup look on a formal mehendi (heck 1 of my cousins did this)…and quite a few of them looked tired/washed out in the pics and even on that day b/c their no-makeup look just wasn’t complimented by their outfits/decor/other people’s outfits/makeup etc.
