Thank you Mixed Beauty! … I am my harshest critic as you can tell. Let me know what you think of the liquid liner on the water line once you try it out. It takes a little bit of practice. Don’t panic if some of it gets in your eye because your natural eye moisture will make it collect on the corner of your eye. It gets a bit messy if that happens because u have to clean it up. If that happens, use a q-tip to dab the corner of your eye. But with practice, this will rarely happen!
Also - what kind of contacts do you use??? Im sorry if someone has already asked you this question. I really luv the shade. ![]()
And lastly - your eyebrows look so clean as well Mixed beauty. Any tips on making them look like that??? Do you tweeze, thread, wax??? Do it yourself or get them done professionally? And do u pencil them in to give more definition to them?
Re: Makeup Help!!!
^ I tweeze them.. i dont use any pencil or anything. Umm how can i explain it to you, basically the bottom put like above your eye i tweeze there so it has more of a shape. and jus tweeze it all lol im sorry i hope you get what i mean. i cnt reeli explain...
Re: Makeup Help!!!
Oh and their called eye2eye contactz. Shade is enhanced blue. :)
Your eyes are prettier in my opinion Mixed Beauty (mA) :) And as I said before, your eyeliner application is wonderful in my opinion.
And you can totally use liquid liner on your waterline. I have been doing it for almost ten years now. lol. I have never gotten pink eye a single time nor had any other kind of eye problem. An Indian girl actually taught me this trick years ago. It seals your pencil liner so that its less likely to smudge and the double layer of the liner makes the black even blacker.
Hey PunjabiRose, so can u use any liquid eyeliner on your waterline?? Which one do u use? And what goes on first, the pencil liner, right?
Also, does anyone use YSL products?

Huma, yes - you can use liquid eyeliner on your waterline..... I have been doing so for ten years! Currently I am using Urban Decay. Yes the pencil liner goes first and then you put the liquid liner on top of it. It helps to have kinda tug the skin underneath your eye downwards when applying because the waterline is not directly touching your eye. Give the liner a few seconds to dry and then let go of the skin.
As I mentioned above, it is not a big deal if some of the liner gets in your eye. The eye's natural moisture will make it move to the corner of your eye. Just use a q-tip to wipe up the excess if this happens.
It takes a little bit of practice to do this easily but it makes such a big difference! I find that it seals my pencil liner and prevents it from smudging, I also find that it makes the overall look of the liner darker and more emphasized.
Re: Makeup Help!!!
^ thanks for the above info mixed beauty!
^ Ok cool, I'll try out the liquid eyeliner on my waterline. I think I know where I was going wrong. I would blink and let go of the skin before giving it a chance to dry. So obviously some of it got into the eye and irritated it the first time I tried it. And then I saw some girls on youtube saying never to put it on your waterline, but I'll give it a go again after what u have said.
^ The only reason I’m posting this video is because it shows how to get that thick black eyeliner without making it look too harsh. Video from 1:56 onwards shows how to do a soft, dark, black eyeliner.
Remember what I said about girls in pakistan getting this look wrong? I think I know why… they were using an eyeliner (gel or liquid or pencil) to line their bottom lashes. That’s why they ended up looking like a panda!
In this video, you’ll see that the makeup artist uses an eyeliner only on the waterline and then he uses a black eyeshadow to line the bottom lashes. This gives those perfect black lined eyes, without the harshness.
This is exactly what Kareena Kapoor usually does. If you look at her pictures from Kurbaan, she has a thick line of eyeliner on her eyelid, but she only uses a grey-coloured eyeshadow to line her bottom lashes. No eyeliner at the bottom! Only on the eyelid and the waterline.
Now ofcourse for an arabic look, you’d use a darker black on the bottom lashes. You could even use a pencil eyeliner but smudge and blend it really well with an eyeshadow. The eyeshadow would also help seal the pencil eyeliner.
Blending is the key to getting the arabic eyes right!

Re: Makeup Help!!!
Mixed beauty u have pretty eyes MA :)
If the picture below is any indication, I’d guess Christina Aguilera.
Why on EARTH would anyone want to look like that? She’s wearing half of a MAC counter on her face, and it’s not even the wedding yet!
PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE post the link. I MUST SEE THIS!!!
EDIT: NM; found the video. I'd be somewhat mortified shaking it like a Polaroid picture at my own wedding, let alone slow-dancing in front of a largely 'Muslim' gathering, but to each his own.

very pretty!
the girl did her own makeup....i better start practicing...:)
With what? A box of crayolas?
There's really nothing special or distinctive about the girl's makeup, aside from the fact that it's 12 shades lighter than her actual skintone. Her arms and hands are brown, but her face is ghostly white; I'm not sure if this was intentional or if the bride simply neglected to check the foundation for Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, or anything else that might "strobe" under a camera flash.
