can you post the link of her video..would love to see her wedding highlights
^ i'm curious- why does too much makeup on a mehendi look weird? wouldn't she wear this much makeup (and its not that much, really, just blush, gloss, liner and mascara from what i can see) if she was attending someone else's mehendi, so why not on her own? wouldn't you especially wear makeup on your own mehendi since its YOUR event and YOU are the bride to be? the center of attention, in all the pictures, up on stage being feted and celebrated?
Erm well i thought the whole point of having a mehndi was so on your barat you wud look absoloutly stunning. Your meant to look natural so you get the WOW factor on your wedding. I went to a mehndi where the girl had a face full of make up and on her wedding it looked no different. So yeah, her liner is waaay to harsh for her face, Her eyes look so tiny!! Your meant to have liner to enhance your eyes.
Re: Makeup Help!!!
^ ah, i suppose lol but couldn't you have varying degrees of makeup or two different kinds entirely?
Re: Makeup Help!!!
^varying degrees = less on the mehndi! as i said earlier, i prefer the fresh faced, wide eye look for the mehndi, still requires makeup. i think sumorani's mehndi look was gorgeous.
Re: Makeup Help!!!
Yes ofcourse you can have two looks.
Mehndi i would have bit of liner to shape my eyes, Teeeeeeny bit of founation to cover up the flaws and a bit of gloss. Thats it.
On the barat well that goes with out saying whos ever looked at a dulhan and not gone, wow?? Its amazing especially if you know that person and they dont even wear make up n you see them. So i wud say no to the face full of make up on mehndi as i've seen it and well was quite dissapointed on the barat tbh....
I saw the video you are referring to and I agree
and I think the groom looks like her younger brother...ewww.
Re: Makeup Help!!!
ur talking abt this video rite…
in reagrds to the bride dancing… in my opinion…it all depends on who was invited…
if it were my mehndii…and if i had invited ONLY family.. i wudnt mind doing bhangra…lol its all abt u enjoyingg dancin.. not doing it for entertainment ..
but i wudnt just do a performace
hehe free style all da wayy ![]()

Danish & Sabrina Samson Productions Blog
okay this family is loaded!
but i love the top of the tent on the mehndi day..all those different color fabric material looks amazing..
Re: Makeup Help!!!
On a more positive note, i really like her outfit, its gorjusss
Huma, I saw the video you are referring to and I agree with you 100% She looked trampy and cheap.
and I think the groom looks like her younger brother...ewww.
sigh. like i said earlier, please refrain from making judgement calls on other people's character. I'm sure you wouldn't like it if someone saw your pictures and labelled you a prude and paindu because you wouldn't dance with your fiancé, now would you?
It is not nice and it lends a very unpleasant air to Weddings. Lets all pledge to make 2010 the year of kind comments, shall we?

Re: Makeup Help!!!
^ great! lets all move on.
Yup, Let’s.. ![]()
Re: Makeup Help!!!
i love the colours on her mehndi outfit and she looks gorgeous on the barat day mA. i like how they got married on the stage together, just the two of them.
as for her dancing on her mehndi thats totally upto her. maybe thats the norm in her family, so i dont understand why other ppl in this thread are getting on their high horse and making catty comments about her
Re: Makeup Help!!!
I luved the highlights!! Absolutely everyone seems to be having so much fun and is full of happiness on this couples Mehndi and baraat! You can tell that the couple is completely in luv and totally at ease. It's their day and they want to have a good time which is awesome. Why not do whatever they want? haha. Obviously judging by all of the auntie/uncle dances (which were cute!) and other various clips, their family and friends luv the whole choreographed dance thing. Makes sense that they do too and want to have fun on their own day. I luv it .... this would have been such a fun Mehndi to have attended...as I am sure their guests thought! :)
I am all about traditional but I can luv and appreciate the non-traditional as well.
I think the girl looks gorgeous.... on both days. Her mehndi makeup just seems like party makeup. The thick eyeliner for the Mehndi actually makes the whole look different from the baraat. This is a girl that probably luvs makeup and is wearing her normal "everyday" amount. I can relate to her. lol. She still looks more done up and more like a proper dulhan on her baraat day.
Pictures and videos last forever and her's came out great. I think that is what matters. They are going to look back and be like wow...everyone was so happy for us and had such a great time in our event. Most of the time people do... but in theirs, it really shows which is great!
they make a beautiful couple, no doubt. I had mentioned that in my very first post. I envy the girl’s looks!! Everything was perfect about her, including her nails.. ![]()
Re: Makeup Help!!!
lovely wedding highlights..can someone post me the link of her wedding pics..i know it was posted here on gs earlier but i cant find it.
Re: Makeup Help!!!
its a good idea to be simple on ur mendhi to have a completely different look on the shaadi. u know ur all caked up on ur mendhi and then again on ur shadi. u look the same. And personally i too prefer simple makeup less brides on their mendhi and mayoon. most look prettier simple than with all the makeup on. shaadi obviously requires heavy makeup. and valima i think should have glossy light makeup. to highly the glow of the new bride.

i agree...everyone have their own personal choice...so we shouldnt make judgement on other people's character

I think your already breaking your pledge by implying that people will call me a prude just because I don't dance like an idiot with my fiance.
Besides, if people put up these videos online for the world to see everyone will make some kind of comment about it, either good or bad. It is my opinion and I am entitled to give it!
