I was always a makeup lover since childhood. But recently I have come to realize that it is my passion in life and I wanna make a career out of it. I’m pretty good at it too! My dilemma is: I wanna learn the professional way to do bridal makeup like Mariam Khwaja/Ather Shahzad etc. but for that do i have to go to Lahore? I live in the USA. I’m very good at doing eye makeup, blush, contouring etc. the only main thing I need learn is how they apply the base. Is there a “secret trick” to it which I can only learn if I spend thousands of dollars or do they all pretty much use the tv paint stick? Will I be able to master that skill by lots of practice only or do I need to go there and learn from them? Or should I do a makeup course from a local academy here in Texas?
I will have to take my son with me and spend a quite few thousand $$$ if I go there.
If so, who/which would be the best place to get the training from in Lahore?

The basics you should learn like blending, understanding types of skin and complexions, contouring etc. The rest will come naturally through lots of practicing, there are lots of afforadable make-up training institutes in Pakistan that you could begin with.

The only other way is learning and teaching yourself by practicing...blending, evening out skin tone, blemishes, under eye circles, controlling oil, working with dry skin, etc.
It takes a lot of practice and fine tuning of your skills.

I always thought that applying base is the trickiest part in makeup until i had my makeup done from bubloo's twice.
The "secret trick" is, apply a heavy coat of stick base and blend it with a sponge, then cover it with a heavy coat of loose powder.
Rest you are already good at i think :)

Dont spend money on a course if you already know how to do the eye makeup blush etc.... practice practice and more practice with different products. Cream foundations are the best to work with so invest in a palette and loose powders, also play with latex sponges, foundation brushes, beauty blenders, fingers, stippling brushes to experimenet to see what works well for you. also try youtube for lots of videos on how to use different types of foundations. for bridal work , i also use contouring and highlighting so it will worth checking youtube for the videos for these...... hope that helps :)
