Makeup forever HD foundation review

how is it? i have heard so much about it from makeup artists but online it doesn’t have such great reviews. i have been looking for a medium coverage foundation for a long time but can’t seem to find any. i like mac face and body but the coverage is too light. don’t like any other mac foundations. is MUFE better than mac ? does it look cakey? any other suggestion for medium coverage liquid foundation?
Also, is it better to use a primer to make your skin look smoother?

Re: Makeup forever HD foundation review

i bought Makeup forever HD foundation, it is light and absorbed quickely in skin, good for flawless skin,
but not good for un-even skin tone,
To me max factor is cheaper and better coverage
If you are looking for good coverage , and if you are in pakistan , buy Louscious,

Re: Makeup forever HD foundation review

I like MUFE HD. I used to use MAC Studio Fix liquid years ago when my skin was oily and loved it. But then it became combo and I ended up getting MUFE HD foundation and also NARS Sheer Glow. I like both of these and really have no complaints. Lancôme Teint Miracle is also good (I tried a sample of this last year). When looking for a new foundation, the best thing to do is to get samples of several difference ones and try them. Online reviews are helpful but you should keep in mind that everyone's skin is different. Just b/c a foundation works on another woman....doesn't mean it'll work for you.

And yes, a primer under the foundation is an absolute must.

Re: Makeup forever HD foundation review

i think my skin is combo too, not too dry and not too oily either. i have tried MAC studio sculpt but it doesn't look as smooth on my skin. i like estee lauder double wear but thats full coverage, i m looking for medium. are the shades in MUFE HD good for tanned desi skin tones? i feel like sometimes mac is too orange or too yellow for our skin.
and which primer do you suggest?
thanks

I have the MUFE HD and i LOVE it. The coverage is perfect...so buildable. You can use it for light coverage or build it up for heavier coverage. I have the shade 128 right now and it matches great.

I also use MUFE HD Primer cos it's not silicone-based. Most of the others (smashbox and a couple others) made my skin feel like it was suffocating. Hated it. This one is perfectttt...smells good too (IMO)...it feels like a decent moisturizer. Your skin feels breathable and smooth and silky.

Re: Makeup forever HD foundation review

Do you think MUFE primer is okay for acne prone skin? mine can be acne prone sometimes.
do you know what shade of skin you're in MAC foundation (so i can have an idea). mine is about NC 42 to 44.

Re: Makeup forever HD foundation review

MAC Studio Scupt in particular can look quite orange.. I tried NC35 and looked like I'd been tangoed :D

Re: Makeup forever HD foundation review

I'm about NC40ish. I wear MUFE HD 153 & NARS Sheer Glow in Barcelona.

For primer, I have acne prone skin & break out from silicone based primers. I've tried primers from MUFE, Smashbox, and Laura Mercier but they broke me out. If you skin tolerates silicones (some people can tolerate them even with acne prone skin)....I'd suggest trying those. But for me....currently I'm using MAC CC Colour Correction SPF 30 (the crème formula) in Neutralize to help with redness. I have used MAC Prep&Prime SPF 50 in the past and was happy with that too.

Re: Makeup forever HD foundation review

does Smashbox primer make your skin look oily? how is it different from mac prep and prime? i hear mac also has the cones

Re: Makeup forever HD foundation review

Makeup forever HD foundation works better on normal n dry skin.....that is why there are always mixed reviews about the product....i have dry to normal skin so it works wonderfully on me....
Try Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation or Tarte amazonian clay foundation they pretty much work on all skintypes.....i have tried both n they are amazing!
