makeup do's and dont's

right so i am a beginner and i have started to invest in makeup and my interest is growing.

i am particularly fond of lipsticks and mascara.

now i dont like the cakey look so i wanted some guidelines to avoid doing too much makeup.

  1. if i want the dark big pout lips..how should i do my eyes and blush?
  2. if i want the heavy eye makeup (smokey..how should i do the lips and blush?
3)if i want to accentuate on the cheeks ..how should i do the eyes and lips?

what are the color combinations you avoid? for instance…red lips plus dark blush and black eyes?

also, do you do our makeup according to your hairstyle? hair up? hair down straight or down curly?

Re: makeup do's and dont's

With heavy makeup I think it looks nicer when the lips are more subtle.. eg smokey eyes and nude lips..

When people try and emphasise too much at the same time it can look a bit clown-like imo

Re: makeup do's and dont's

One thing you don't do: don't ever poke your eye with liquid eyeliner, it does not turn out well.

Re: makeup do's and dont's

how do you mean?

Re: makeup do’s and dont’s

Lmao,it was a joke. Just don’t put the liquid eyeliner brush anywhere near your eyeball. Spreads all through your eye, makes it look all black and you have to wash it out haha. It happened to me once, and I wear contact so it was even worse :bummer:

Re: makeup do's and dont's

What if you're wearing bright red for a formal occasion. Even if it is not a smokey eye look but the upper and lower eye lids are lined. Would you still wear nude lip color or more reddish lip color?

Re: makeup do's and dont's

for casual eid at home..would you wear highlighter? and blush?

Re: makeup do's and dont's

If the eyeshadow colors are neutral....then go with matching red lips.

Re: makeup do's and dont's

Make sure to remove your makeup before going to bed, you can wash or wipe it with a natural facial mask. I have been using Essenzza health natural facial wipes to clean my face. The natural facial wipes can also remove waterproof mascara and it leave your skin hydrated.

Re: makeup do's and dont's

1) if you're going for dark lips keep the eye makeup very soft. Also avoid thick eye liner. Choose a light neutral toned blush.

2) if you're going for black smokey eyes keep the lips nude. A swish of nude lip gloss will look great. Avoid blush if u can or just softly highlight the cheek bones.

3) if your focus is cheeks then keep the eye liner soft and thin. For lips choose a neutral shade lipstick or gloss.

Avoid matching your makeup to your outfit. Like literally. Focus on one part of your face that u want to highlight.

If you're going for a bold look keep the hair away from your face. If your makeup is neutral or soft you can let your hair down.

Hope this helps.

Re: makeup do's and dont's

I personally don't but if you want to, keep it simple. Blushes can give a nice glow to the face if used very lightly. No one wants to look like a doll.
I think highlighter can work the same way to add dimension to where the light naturally hits your face. The trick is to just apply it lightly.

These are my basics for an everyday work look

Concealer- must! Sometimes its all i use with some blush n good to go

Foundation- depends what mood i am in if its summer i rarely wear a light BB cream will do as long as my eye circles are concealed

Blush- a nice peachy blush my ultimate fav is Orgasm by NARS

Eyeliner- i wear liquid and pencil- my fav pencil is MAC Smoulder and my liquid is just a £2 one from Boots.

Lips- usually a tinted gloss but as my eyeliner is dark i stick to peachy pinky shades on my lips

If you have a dark smokey eye a neutral lip always looks good.

Red lips are always a pop of color i always keep eye makeup and blush minimum with red lips as thats whererhe focus lies

Highlighters are good even for eids etc it just adds that added glow

Foundation please make sure you have one matched correctly to your skin the worst thing is when you see someone with shades lighter or those who go for the tan look.. Just strike a balance

My ultimate lip fav is Vaseline the pink tin! Smells lovely and adds a tint if youre in a rush or a busy work day. I work in an office so dont really interact with people outside apart frm colleagues so i do like to make sure once a week atleast i have a nice lippy on lol cheers me up :)

Sleek do some really nice blushers also! Illmasqua is also another brand i use alot their lippies are lovely!

Re: makeup do's and dont's

Well gud ideas for those who dnt knw abut makeup like me.
I dnt knw abut eye makeup. Nthng. I just can apply mascara , kajal and liner.

Re: makeup do's and dont's

So tell me ideas hw do i make myself look trendy.
For daily outng and for functions as well.

Re: makeup do's and dont's

I think it all depends on your skin color. If you're pale, then you should contour your face properly, but not super dark, and add a bit of blusher, a nudish pink lip gloss/stick, and neutral eyes. Then if you're browner skinned like me, do the same, except use a more red lipstick (to contrast with your skin) and use blusher instead of eyeshadow, but only in the outer crease of your eyes. ☺️

Hey all
Anyplace where they give a crash course of makeup and where they actually TEACH?usually they. Cost an arm and a leg and I really intended to go to Anum falak in summers but reviews were so bad that I faltered...
Recently binary khans badtameezee kind story leaked out too when she told the customer to get out as she requested the music to be tuned down for 5 min so she could pray. Na baba! I want to learn but respect is more important
