Makeup disaster

Salam,

So I’ve been trying to up my makeup skills…but before I can even get to the eye makeup part, my foundation starts melting coz I start sweating profusely on my face. I mean I can’t even get to my car without a lot of it melting off… I usually do my makeup in an air conditioned room, but the minute I step out of it…my face starts sweating and even with the gentle dabbing of tissue paper, a lot of foundation comes off…

anyone know whats happening and why is it happening and how can I avoid it… thanks all

If it helps, my skin is dry

Re: Makeup disaster

Automn,which foundation you are using?
i was having same problem but now i always use water based light foundation preferably one with light to medium coverage .

Re: Makeup disaster

Mattifying gels may help.

Re: Makeup disaster

Mattifying gels

Oil control primers

Water based foundations

Oil free moisturizers

Oil control powders

right now I am using covergirl products, I will have to go home and check wether they are water based or not.

These are light to medium coverage.

PS I do use MAC face primer. don't really know if it is mattifying or not.

Anything else I can add to my current products to get the mattifying effect??? Without spending more $$$

Re: Makeup disaster

Nivea does a really good mattifying cream and moisturiser all in one. You will find it in their 'Nivea Young' range. I normally put it on before putting my make up, just to make sure all my skin is even and mositurised.

Benefit's Dr. Feel Good mattyfing balm.. it nourishes the skin and keeps it really matte and shine-free. A silicone primer should keep u're foundation in place. If u apply a heavy moisturiser before applying u're foundation it will begin 'melting' and sliding.. u can buy pre-powdered blotting papers OR spritz u're face with a fine mist of rosewater or regular water and then dab gently with a tissue.

Re: Makeup disaster

ddr.... this product of nivea is not available in the country I live in .... Gina.. I checked the price of benefit dr. feelgood...It is kinda steep for me right now (coz I am in the learning phase so don't wanna dish out too much money just yet) so any other economical/drugstore solutions...

thanks girls ..... :) what would I do without you

The Body Shop's matte it mattifying primer?
