Re: Makeup brushes
I feel like different foundations respond better to different tools? - like some foundations apply best with hands, other with brushes and others with sponges.

Re: Makeup brushes
GG, the difference between a brush and a beauty blender application is that a brush will distribute your product over an area while a sponge or bb will actually 'push' the product into your skin. I see a lot of pictorials where mua's have distinct lines of contour and highlights and then blend everything together. I apply my foundation all over my face, use a brush to spread it all over and then go over with my sponge/bb. It's after I've achieved an overall coverage that I go in with my contouring and highlighting. The beauty blender usually just does all the blending for you, just gently "tap" it over area a few times and you should see the product disappear into your skin.
Wish I could watch you while you do this just to see how it's used by a professional close up. I would really like to master this method with the beauty blender so it looks natural/glowing and not cakey. Even the brush strokes matter most probably, whether it's downward strokes or circular motion. I got the stippling brush too to see how it looks as opposed to a foundation brush when applying foundation.

Re: Makeup brushes
When I took a selfie after doing contouring and highlighting, what a difference in how my face looks. I'm still on the lookout for a good contouring brush. Any recommendations on a good quality tried and tested contouring brush? What brand has the best angle for contouring so there aren't any harsh lines.
