Makeup brushes

Do you guys use makeup brushes or don’t really have a preference?

(Mods, can you add the following to a poll:

MAC brushes
Sigma Brushes
Don’t really have a preference or mixed brands (explain below)
Don’t see the point of them/will use the applicators the makeup comes with

As for me I use:

Eyes

• A got the Ecotools travel-size kit (http://www.amazon.com/EcoTools-MINERAL-Brush-Travel-1213/dp/B001EM1BBK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1308351154&sr=8-1 AND http://www.amazon.com/Ecotools-Bamboo-Eye-Brush-Piece/dp/B0030HMQTS/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1308351154&sr=8-7 so I sometimes use a brush from these sets if I need another aside from my MAC brushes)

Face

• Sigma Face brushes (I bought the Face kit, I was going to buy the MAC uqualivent but decided to save money since Sigma look identical and also have excellent quality, plus, I got all 5 for 1/3 the price. • Ecotools foundation brush: Amazon.com: EcoTools Classic Foundation Face Brush, For Liquid, & Cream Foundation, Flat Foundation Brush, Makeup Brush For Natural Makeup, Buildable Coverage, Synthetic Bristles, Cruelty- Free, 1 Count : Beauty & Personal Care <— Great brush but won’t be using this now that I have my Sigma one, which btw is AWESOME!

I always deep clean my new brushes (since they are usually either animal hair if you get the higher-end ones), I use L’Oreal Kids gentle and conditioning shampoo to clean them and I leave to dry upside down: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004C0SUE2

My sigma kit arrived today so they are drying as I type.

I recently got a few ruby and Millie brushes because they were 75% off in boots. They're average. I like the foundation brush but the eyeliner brush isn't so amazing. The hairs are coming out so making it a bit rubbish. I'm hoping to invest in a few when I have money :( are sigma brushes good then?

I have a Bobbi Brown foundation but it's totally NOT worth the price, best foundation brush i know is Lancome's white handle brush (discontinued..)

e.l.f studio brush sets for eyes and face, 10+ brushes under 30 dollars, lasted me a whole year, I don't mind buying inexpensive brushes especially if they're e.l.f studio brushes. =)

I agree, Gina. Brushes make even the cheapest makeup easier to use.

It's true, it's the tools you use to apply your make up which make all the difference

I use the 130 MAC brush for my liquid foundation. It's definitely the BEST!

Well I have two mac eye brushes, snd they are AMAZING! But recently I bought makeup brush kit from BH COSMETICS and theyre fairly good. I love the angled eye brush, and the liner brush they can be compared to mac brushes. The face brushes are I wud say 80% as good as mac. The eye brushes are not as dense as mac but are not bad either theyre a lil better than sonia kashuk brushes, and they dnt break. They were on sale for 26$ for 10 brushes, original price 30$ I believe. But for the price a great deal. I will in future will be investing in sigma brushes though.
