Hey All,
I’m looking for a makeup artist for my walima in the Northern Virginia/DC metro area. Any suggestions? I’m super new here, and know absolutely nothing, so any suggestions are welcome!
Edit- I saw that there was a thread for bridal makeup in the NOVA area, however it hasn’t been updated since 2009. Any updates would be appreciated!

There’s also Uzma Wali. I don’t have her contact, but google/FB searches may yield results. I’ve heard good things about her make up, less about her photography/video packages.

Uzma used to be good. she did my wedding makeup last november and i was extremely displeased with her work - she charged 300 per day and I got an outdated look both days....wouldnt recommend her.

oh and Sonia Iqbal is AMAZING! Find her on facebook - she's really really good. dont know about her prices but my friends had their makeup done from her and she's good. She wasnt available on my wedding days or I would have used her.

I've seen at least three brides Uzma Wali has done. Each looked really lovely and had a suitable look for each different event.

^S02 what year did she do those brides?
I just think her hairdos are outdated...same curls or undo...nothing new...that was just my experience...plus she was on the phone the entire time on my walima day when doing my makeup. I didnt find that professional.
