Please could people let me know of makeup artists in RWP/ISB who match the foundation to your skin colour? On my Nikaah I had at least two shades lighter put on me and in retrospect do not like my make-up in those photos (everyone else seems to think it’s nice but I don’t like that my skin colour is not my own - I even took my Mac foundation in case they tried to make me a porcelain doll and the woman said “photo mein sey nahin laghe gah” and I let her just use her own; darn.)
I’d like people’s personal experiences please, not just that oh this big name salon is meant to be good, even if you had your makeup done by a small salon but you loved it, would love to hear from you.

@Halima15 - I'm looking for make-up artists in pindi area too! Lol. When is your function?
I contacted Daniela - she charges 25,000 rupees plus 8,000 rupees for the photoshoot and she requires £5,000 rupees deposit. She has a salon in the isb area but according to my sis-in-law it's right at the far end of isb. Out of everyone she charges the most.
Jugnu charges £18,000 and requires a 9,000 rupees deposit. He has a salon in pindi. I think I am going to go with him because he's closer to where I live.
There's also Sobia's who everyone I know loves! But im not 100% sold. She's 18,000 too. She has a salon in pindi.
@aliyahdar, no confirmation on function dates because my sister hasn't got the dates she's allowed to take off work yet! The function days should be late April though inshaAllah (kid brother breaks up from school at Easter on the 15th) When is yours? How exciting!

@dafodil , thanks a lot for your help. I think my mum will be fine for those prices. For anybody else who wants to know what Nikhaars rates are right now, my cousin who is getting married in 6 days is getting hers done from there for 12,000 rupees.
@Halima15 - As far as I know, pakistani MUA's don't offer make-up trials!? I need to double check that. It's very risky otherwise...and I'm really fussy :) My walima is on April 3rd inshaAllah. Are you from London? Type in 'sobia's' in google and it should come up. Also, add both jugnu and janie liang on facebook (danielas daughter) so you can see their work. My sis-in-law got her walima make-up done from nikhaar - I think it looked nice but most people on GS say that it looks too old-fashioned? Just wait and see what your cousin says I suppose! @dafodil - did your friend book a couple of days before her function? I'm planning to do it well in advance, maybe next week, and he quoted my sis-in-law 18,000 rupees and 22,000 if you want to get it done from him.
Oh I think they do because my cousin went and got a from the woman who did my makeup for my Nikaah first and then a trial from Nikhaar too. I didn't like my Nikaah makeup so I'm gonna try to get trials.

Yeah I've seen both Jugnu and Janies work. I'm not particularly flattened by anyone really, hence why I think getting trials will help. Yeah well when my uncle comes back and shows us the photos I'll let you know what I think about the makeup...

I got my walima make up done on 27th of feb in isb by daniella..she did a fantastic job...i told her to go easy with the blush on & give me a soft look..as my dress was in beige..was super satisfied with the makeup,everyone LOVED the makeup..so i HIGHLY recommend her!!
While i ws getting my makeup done,a bride came in crying her eyes out..she was coming from sobia hanif's salon & wasn't satisfied with her hair & make up & was telling how they don't listen to the client..the base was cakey & they refused to fix it...then there she washed her face & got her make up done yet again by daniella..
mmmm i was gettin good feedbck frm sobia hanif , well u knw wat always best if u have time b4 ur wedding get a trial done so at least u knw wat kind of makeup u wil have on the day and also ul find out if the beautian is any good

actually its all depnds on luck,.,,if there are lot brides at one time then sobia pays very less attention to each bride...she just moves from one bride to another..and ruins all bride makeup :D
