so i gather from going thru oodles and oodles of articles, mags and from observing whats popping up in stores in all prices ranges that:
bohemian is still very ‘in’
victorian is definitely in for winter. i dunno if it will continue on to next winter but i love the look…(victorian=ruffled white blouses…high necked collars, velvet, more coverage, coats are long and lean with high collars etc etc)
handbags…metallic still in, velvet, studded, fur, beaded and vintage handbags are cool (i.e. bags are definitely NOT boring in terms of material they are made of—luxe )
makeup- matte is in…dewy lipglossy look is out…red lipstick is in…to suit the more mysterious victorian and russian trend this winter with sleek straight hair…and pink lipglossed look is out.
to go with the whole grown up look…liquid eyeliner and smoky eyes are also in. PURPLE is the color that defines Winter 2005…from clothes to makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow, liner)…a deep plum shade of lipstick is very ‘in’ and also suits most desi skin tones…
showing your boots is in…(tucking them into jeans and all…)
bronzed skin is kinda too summery for winter so choose crimson blush instead.
^^ hehe i dont think boots would go with shalwars...
maybe with the pant style shalwars you can pull off boots. but definitely not the traditional shalwar. that might make u look like bandit queen...hehe
50’s look is In this winter ..velvet skirts wid some decoration of diff colors n buttons .. beads n embroidery :k:… ..purple wine red , navy blue n deep colors r in , military jackets n pants r back in fashion after short time was very pouplar past summer n back in fashion again ..a must have this season i ll say ..
With churidar pajama (is that what it’s called?) wear some mid calf boots. The kurta should be not too long. How would that look? I’ve never tried it. Maybe you’re best to just stay with simple pumps.
^^ ewww saima....the white ones in that link..........this girl in the elevator wore huge black ones similar to that today and it reminded me of a teddy bakraa...
