I am traveling tomorrow morning by airplane to see my sister. I was wondering if anyone knew of what kind of makeup items I am allowed to bring in my purse on board the airplane. I know the whole liquid rule on board is no more than 3 ounces put in a zip top see through baggie. The thing is I wanted to know if I had to include my solid lipsticks in the see through baggie? If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thanks!
Re: Makeup allowed in planes
Regular lipstick in a tube that isnt a gel or liquid is ok
Re: Makeup allowed in planes
does it have to be in a baggie? Thanks!
Re: Makeup allowed in planes
I was also wondering about contact lenses in their cases. I have a solution bottle but its small-only 2 fl ounces. Oh and how about face powder? I have a small case of it. Its 0.07 ounces. It obviously goes in the baggie right? Thanks again for anyone who can answer these concerns. I have checked out TSA's website but its not all 100% clear or there.
Re: Makeup allowed in planes
TSA= Transportation Security Administration
Hi phooljari, its perfectly ok to keep makeup with u or liquid for lenzes.
when i travel i have a small plastic c thrue bag (15 by 10 cm)with me and i take my makeup with me,u can take max 100 millileters per bottle or tube.
so everything thts liquid max 100 millileters.
The only thing u cant have in ur hand lugage is sharp things like nailclipper.scissor etc etc:)
Re: Makeup allowed in planes
From the TSA website.
They dont allow any exceptions or excuses and you will lose all your stuff if it doesnt follow their guidelines. I saw boxes of deodrants, toothpaste and makeup all discarded.
All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. Each container must be three ounces or smaller.
All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed. Each traveler can use only one, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag.
Each traveler must remove their quart-sized plastic, zip-top bag from their carry-on and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared items.

Re: Makeup allowed in planes

Re: Makeup allowed in planes
eyeliners, eyepecils, lipstick, blush, powders don't need to be in a baggie
All fluids - foundation, perfume, contact lense solution need to be in a baggie and all need to be les than 3 oz
