Make up Spray

Apparantly, you can get make up sprays that keep your make up on throughout the whole day? Mac and Benefit told me to use a mattifyer (sp) so I brought "dr.feel good’ by Benefit and it’s ok, it doesnt do much, but it does something. Anyway, google tells me there are sprays that you use on all types of make up as soon as youv finished applying it so that your make up doesn’t melt. I mean, a summer wedding is always the worst. Imagine melting makeup on the wedding day!

Has anyone used them or at least heard of them? Are they any good and which one should one buy?

Thanks.

Re: Make up Spray

I know in Pakistan, they do use some sort of spray on bridal makeup. I heard it works and keeps your makeup fresh for longer hours. Not sure what brand though.

Re: Make up Spray

The only one i've used is Avedas

Depends where you are, cause if its hot and sticky and humid there is no way you are spraying your face with any more mist...

Re: Make up Spray

Re: Make up Spray

i saw the makeup artists putting that on the models on Bravo. I actually saw them spraying the eyeshadow which looked exquisite.

Re: Make up Spray

There are a few different kinds of sprays I use when I make up a bride. Some are to set the make up and others are to seal it. There is a theatrical brand called Ben Nye (available at theatre and costume shops and online) that makes one called Final Seal. In a pinch makeup artists also use Hair spray, you spray it from about 12 inches away from the face and make sure to have eyes completely shut. I do not recommened doing this often because these sealers to plug up pores. Make sure to scrub your face clean after use. I hope that helps :)

Re: Make up Spray

the only thing that will actually make me look pretty is a mask :(

Re: Make up Spray

Aww thanks luv, this does help. I want something to seal the make up so it doesnt melt and the face doesnt look greasy. This Ben Nye stuff, its not heavy duty is it? And would I be able to buy it from the UK or USA?

Re: Make up Spray
