make up in pakistan

Hi people posting for the first time on here!

Hope someone can help!

I’m getting married inshallah in Pakistan however my wedding will take place in a village. I’ve been told by some people make up artists are not willing to travel to your house so you have to go to the salon. My cousin went to the salon on her wedding day which was disastarous as the barat arrived and she was still not back!!

does anyone know if make up artists still dont travel to a clients house?
Also does anyone know which ones are good?
the nearest city to me is chakwal and islamabad

Any help would be much appreciated…thanks

Re: make up in pakistan

^lol yea that's pretty much how it is.

i don't know of any salons where they come out as usually it takes a few people - one for the hair, another 1 or 2 for the makeup, then the duputta setting.

best thing to do is to go hours in advance, you most likely won't be ready early even though you think will.

Re: make up in pakistan

Or... talk to a make up artist and I'm sure you'll find a few who will agree to come over, given an all expense paid trip and some extra cash.

Re: make up in pakistan

Usually salons with makeup "girls" [like Depilex] allow private bookings. I know someone who had Allenora's girl come over to her place to do the make up.

Re: make up in pakistan

years ago my friend was getting married in Sargodha, she went to lahore (mightys) to get ready. we left in the wee hrs of the morning, it was a 6 hr round trip. she was late for her baraat, the dulha had already arrived.but we were only :P an hr late. she had to sit facing the air con all the way back. her face was frozen, the poor thing.
this was going back 10yrs, don't know what the score is now. or just book one of the nearest town beauticians, and give them your own foundation and guide them a bit, fix the makeup a bit yourself.

otherwise go prepare yourself to look like a whitewashed tranny. (the prefferred pakistani village bridal look) at least the villagers will say wah ji wah valayti kurri kinni gori ay, embrace it.:P
