Re: Make-up for dusky/fair skin.
I have a fair complexion and light eyes. So im lucky that actually any colour suits me. Natural colours to the bold colours. However bold colours on my lips jus make me look really 'tarty' i dont kno why. But i jus avoid bold colours on my lips!
Re: Make-up for dusky/fair skin.
I am like NC40-NC 35 kind of complexion, still looking for the perfect shade of lipstick that suits me.Generally mauves, wines look ok for me.Light shades, neutral browns really wash me out.
Re: Make-up for dusky/fair skin.
I have fair skin...and pinks really suit me well!! And I have the same prob with the bold colors of lipstick...cause it just washes me out! Or maybe i'm just not use to looking at myself with those colors on!! who knows...
im fair skinned and stick to light neutral colours both on eyes and lips, and i too look too "tarty" if i wear a dark colour on my lips, and look like a panda if i experiment with dark colours on my eyes, so end up sticking to light pastel shades

Thank u so much for this.Would defenitely try those.
Right now it would be fantastic to share the specific shades people actually use.
For me Foundation - American beauty (Warm-medium)(Not that much coverage, but good for a normal skin day).
concealer - Again same branch(not that much coverage, need to try new one which won't dry out)
Translucent powder-L"Oreal translucide medium, very good.Liked it so far.
Blush- Apricot from L'Oreal (didn't like that much)
Bronzer- Suntan from Maybelline(An Okayish one)
Eye shadow-Midnight Garnet from Revlon(Sparkly, accentuating my dark circles and fine lines)
Lipstick- Lip gloss Beach plum (Lancome),ok.
Gina do u have any suggestions for Blush/bronzer,eye shadows to try.
Creams, beige, shell-pinks and powder/ice blue will draw attention away from u're dark circles. I love a blush called "cupcake" by Clinique it's the perfect day blush!
U shud have atleast 3 blushes.
Pink/berry to go with pinks, purples, blues
Tawny/brown to go with brown, green, yellow, orange
Neutral nude to go with black, white
i'm medium toned and i love it because i can do some crazy dark makeup on my eyes where as some of my lighter cousins can't even wear black liner because it makes them look like a street walker and takes from their natural beauty. i love my cousin shireen but i taught her to use brown powder liner bc black was too much, where as her sister is dusky and i could do loads of fun stuff with her andit suits her. I can do emerald, black, navy, purple and a lot more colors and not look clown like nearly as much as some of the lighter girls that don't know how to blend well and what not. If you dnt blend your shadows and put color or fair skin it can be clown like so they are better off doing more natural like makeup. with fair skin i think another key to wearing colors on the eyes is to do sheer makeup that is shimmery, matte bolder colors just don't work where as on duskier women it does work.
