What make-up brands do we have in North America that people are unable to buy in Pakistan?
I want to get some nice stuff for my cousins. I don’t want to get stuff you can get over there though.
Any ideas?

hmmm they do have everything there haina...
i dont recall seeing Chritian Dior there.. or even Mac makeup... hmm no Elizabeth Arden either... hmm Clarins (i like this one)..
they have almost everything in pak. especially at tariq road and clifton bazaar. :-)
I know ... that's what sucks. I got some Clinique products. I hope they like it.
I love MAC.
yeah clinique is really good :) i got some clinique stuff too for my cousins and clarins is pretty good too..
what bout Mecca makeup?
I’ve never heard of Mecca make-up. ![]()
So, do they sell Clinique in Pakistan?
^come on pakistan aint that far behind u know
they have stuff there that we couldnt imagin being here ![]()
Well, that is why I ask Waleed. In many respects, Pakistan is more advanced and has better products than we have in North America. I just don't want to invest in something they can get there. I want to get something unique.
This is a random question but is Mac a Canadian company?
MehnazQ I'm sure they'll love anything you take. I would recommend lipgloss, the clear and color kind. Its something new that i would think is hard to find a variety of in Pakistan. :)
what about estee lauder or lancome, those are my faves
Almost nothing impossible if u have money..
And Waleed well said... all these items and even those not in range of a typical individual euro or american , available there..
All these make up and perfume brands are known and/or available in pakistan.. just depends on one's range and affordability..
Mehnaz the best thing is you ask ur cousin about her taste .. because the best gift is that of one's choice if u r intrested to surprise her just ask her about what they like or wish to have ..
I just wrote a big reply and it went away! ![]()
Well here I go again, these cookies ![]()
Mehnaz, In pakistan you get really tons of creams, facial products, I would take lipsticks and nailpolish for them, as the brand and the quality of those are really crappy there and the only colours you get is lots of red and reddish browns colours, I would take some shinning pink, purple, maron colours lipstick, of course lipgloss is a good idea too. As for nailpolish some nice up-to-date colours.
Also take along some bottles of nice shampoos, body lotion, hair care products, as you may get everything in pakistan but imported products are quite expensive there, so I think they will also like these (for us) simple products. Don’t buy just few expensive products but buy more medium quality for the same amount of money, as somehow people there look at the quantity and not quality, as any medium quality would be just great there.
If you need any more info on things then I can give u some of my own experiences.
I'm assuming they have The Body Shop there? They have some great body lotions.
So far, I've gotten some Clinique products (eye make up remover, lipstick, blush, mascara, body lotion). I want to get something a bit more though.
Nail polish sounds like a good idea. Thanks Saadia.
body shop is in Pakistan
for nailpolish -- Sally hanssen have really good color collection ( for casual) and if u r willy to buy abit expensive like starting from $17 can or $15 (same stuff) in Usa , each Hard Candy have really good collection
hmm it might be an australian brand… dunno ![]()
yeah they do sell clinique… i saw that a few years back ![]()
i think lip gloss is a good idea.. even eye shadows and stuff… nail polish goes ballistic in the air… i know cus all mine popped and yeah.. bad experience…
That’s what I’m concerned about. I know my nail polish becomes very thick as soon as we reach a certain altitude in the air. I don’t want it to go bad if I do invest in some nail polish.
I will look into lip gloss.
As for eye shadows, IMHO, they have better colours over there that are more suitable for brown skin tones. Here, the majority of the stuff is for white girls. MAC has nice colours but theirs is the liquid kind that can also be used as a blush. Khair, I might get one of those. We’ll see.
I have two weeks until I go. I’ve spent $1000 so far this week just on make up and products for myself (getting medicines, shampoos, conditioners, lipsticks, etc.). ![]()
