Make me rich, quick

I’ve got my lifestyle guru (some hippy kid from work) to sort out a life plan for me. I’ve been told that I’m living my life in a constant state of chaos, running from one crisis to another. Apparently, this is not good for my aura.

Part of this lifestyle plan involves me quiting my job at the age of 30, in order to settle down and become a cosy mother/grandmother. That gives me 5 years to make my millions and buy that beach front house in Wales.

I’ve managed to save a few thousand quid, and was about to take my first step on the property ladder when my lifestyle guru informed me that this is not the right path for me, as it would involve too much work (= chaos = bad for aura). I then thought about investing in stocks and shares, to which my lifestyle guru also disagreed (you guessed it, too much work = chaos = bad for aura).

Now this leaves me in a bit of a pickle. I’ve got 10k to invest in something that requires minimum effort and gives me maximum financial gains. I want to turn this 10k into 100k, without damaging my aura in any way. Any suggestions?

Re: Make me rich, quick

Gimme your money. No chaos = good for aura.

Re: Make me rich, quick

Actually, how about we go into business together. The housing boom is well and truly over in the UK, but I hear it's still pretty hot in Pakistan ... we can use my money and your connections to buy something out there.

Bagsy me be the sleeping partner - now that really would be good for my aura.

Re: Make me rich, quick

Sadi marry William. :p

Re: Make me rich, quick

Sure. I'm all fine with the sleeping partner part.

Re: Make me rich, quick

Maybe some type of mutual fund?

A portion of your money in a guaranteed fund and a portion in a riskier fund.

For example…

Fidelity Capitol and Income Fund. (No load)

If in 95 you had invested 10k…

Hypothetically…

Today you’d have 23k…

YTD Return (04/15/2005) -1.58%
30-Day Yield 3 (04/14/2005) 5.81%
NAV (04/15/2005) 8.20
12 Month Low-High $7.57-$8.58
Morningstar Category High Yield Bond
Net Assets ($M) 5,000.52

Right now returns are negative but this type of fund is semi-long term investment. Overall returns decent.

But is not 100K quick…but you have a few years…

Re: Make me rich, quick

MQ, I did actually mention marrying Harry (don't like William's teeth) to my lifestyle guru, but she was stictly against the idea (royal duties = chaos = bad for my aura)

Romz (your english bugging me - chaos = bad for my aura).

Re: Make me rich, quick

Oh God! How do you nerdy people figure out all this stuff? I never understood what's the difference between negative yield and positive yield. I mean, they both are yields, no?

Re: Make me rich, quick

AAG, what is the risk factor? My ex driving instructor used to be a millionaire until he invested in something similar to this, and lost everything. Poor man was so poor he had to put up with my God awful driving for years.

Re: Make me rich, quick

Sobz, wait till you hear my accent. You'll gladly die over it like you drool over my english.

Re: Make me rich, quick

Sadi Harry is skinny and has blonde eyelashes and hes far too young for you.Stick to Will. But you’ll have to get past the millions of other girls. We wish you good luck. Leave the royal duties to Camilla:p

ps I had some questions about your work ok if I PM them?

Re: Make me rich, quick

Romz, your typed English is bearable, how about we keep it at that? :o

MQ, sure, but you’ll prolly find I dont reply for three months, Lazy me :bummer: And lay off Harry, he’s my babydoll

Re: Make me rich, quick

Marry MyVoice, will hardly have to put up with any papparazi compared to Harry.....

Re: Make me rich, quick

You’re asking Sadi to set the bar pretty high aren’t you?

Re: Make me rich, quick

Not a wise investment for a 65 year old to put all monies into. Decent for a 30 year old to place fair amount…

You have to be able to accept the flucuation [spelling] in earnings.

Maybe something like 50% of your monies in a guaranteed fund and 50% into a high yield growth fund…review quarterly statements for a year or two…

Not likely to lose shirt…but possibility higher than if you bought an interest bearing account.

Re: Make me rich, quick

Dear Sadi Sobi,

Where do you find a lifestyle guru?

Better yet...

Know any "get rid of the lingering winter blahs" guru's?

Or a nice motivational guru?

Or a "tells me I'm beautiful" guru? :)

Re: Make me rich, quick

haha can i share lifestyle gurus with you. but seriously if you invest your money and it works please tell me.

Re: Make me rich, quick

I kinda like ur idea.. am in Lahore now.. but not as a sleeping partner

Re: Make me rich, quick

Dont give such advice to Sadi, William is going to die in his 30’s, Harry would be a better bet.
