yahaan kuch aisa lagta hai
har shaayer apni shaaeri
dikhaanay main lagga hai
aur log kyaa kehtay hain
koee usko parvah nahin
apni nazam, ghazl post kar k
apna naam dekhta hai
dil main muskrata hai
aur apnay aap ko kehnay
lag jaata hai -
main bhi Ghalib se kam nahin.
is this a nazm? i did'nt really get it. hmmm, sounds like the author is discouraging other writers. Shaayri dikhane ke liye hi hoti hai na, that why the forums are made, dil ka bojh halka ho jata hai. It does'nt help if u write a peice of poetry and dont share it with your friends, sometimes they can even clarify. We probably would'nt have heard of Ghalib, had'nt he shared his poetry work with others.**

Thanks for stopping bye.
Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi speakers often don't get free verse. They call it tukkay-bazzi. You can call it anything. But the modern poetry in the Western world is almost entirely written in free verse these days. India and Pakistan will catch up with it later, I suppose, not too far distant in the future.

I am surprised to see that.
I have read many "aazaad manzoom" of Amjad Islam Amjad, Perveen Shakir, Noshi Gilani and so many others...
The term in urdu poetry is refered to as "aazaad shaairy" or "nasa'riya shaairi"
