it’s Indian Railways’ custom to decorate the newly introduced trains on it’s inaugural runs with great enthusiasm and fanfare.
the newly refurbished train, the Mahmana Express, was flagged off by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in Varanasi [Banaras] for it’s destination New Delhi.
The Prime Minister is onboard this train. he is traveling to New Delhi.
here is the video of FULL journey by that train on it’s inaugural run. it sports a brand new livery and color. the purple livery train has an entirely new interior with modern amenities and better seats/berths. the material used in the coaches is fire-retardant.
