i've seen it spelled mahru, and if it's spelled mehroo then it's pronounced the way it's spelled. both ways it means chaand jaisay chehra. mah = moon, ru = face

If there were more than 1 moon faces then that would be chand jaisay chehray. 1 moon = chand jaisa chehra.
I an relate to this. My name is also spelt differently and pronounced differently. Unfortunately, my father provided the wrong english spellings of my name to the registrar and now i’m stuck with it. It’s hard explaining to people that I’m not an Indian.

mahrukh is another name. mehroo is a different name. both on the other hand have the same meaning. mehroo to me always sounds to me like it has some sindhi roots
