I have hard water in my area, and its a pain, so i need to get a water softener,
I looked at the typical salt based systems and heard that they replace calcium with sodium and that the amount fo sodium thus absorbed in the body not just by cooking but also showering etc is pretty bad,
so I start looking at other options and read about magnetic softeners. anyone know more about them and any good brands.
now technically isnt it also possible for me to convert hard water in dosft water in a salt system, and then do reverse osmosis to get the sodium out?
RO filter?! unless frauds wants to spend more on the filter than his home, or can take bath in under 10 gallons of water a day, it isnt even an option.
softening water is an expensive process. if its just for kitchen purposes, you can get an RO unit or an ion exchange filter. RO units generate 3-4 times as much waste water as they generate pure water, and works reaaaaal slow.
okay so what about the magnetic softeners vs salt based ones. CA and some other states have localities that have banned the salt based softeners and people ther euse something else..any info?
Mr. Fraudia, do you realize your spell-checker is not working. Spelling errors are so irritating. Why are people so inconsiderate of other people’s sensitive eyes and not just proofread the damn thing before posting.
1) minerals accumulate in pipes and messes them up royally
2) minerals accumulate in dishwasher, water heater etc and mess them up
3) leave film on shower doors, sinks etc
4) leave film on dishes
etc etc. So basically I need to find a solution. from what i understand the salt based systems actually remove the calcium and replace it with sodium, so the water is no longer hard water, but then its high sodium, not that I care, except i have been told that your body absorbs a lot of sodium even if u are using it for shower etc. drinking water is no issue because I dont drink tap water anyways and will eventually get a reverse osmosis system for just for drinking water.
the magnetic water softeners work in a diff way and supposedly do something so the water does not stick to pipes and things, trying to find out more about it. theyuse magnetic softeners in UK but have not heardmuch about them here.
Let's get few things straight...you don't have people like me to take care of minute details; if you did, gupshup would be closed by now. And secondly, as far as the old nick is concerned...I can tell you but then I will have to kill you.
Lahulawalaquwat....yani kay ye sara hungama zeeray walay biscuit ka hay. Lekin, zeeray wala biscuit meray paas tou hay nahin.
And, I don't have time to kill you. :p
