The best in my eyes.
Amazing talent he was, rather call him a magician.

Clown I understand PA, but what about Santana (I am not a fan by the way)?

Santana in the same breath as Page?? Blasphemy!!

Likewise.. no hard feelings against the guy.. he’s hard working and all.. but seriously.. the other guys are way outta his league.

There is one SERIOUS omission however..

I see your point PA. Actually, I have never heard anything from Santana apart from Smooth but I have heard a lot of people holding Santana in great regard. For me its Jimmy Page all the way. Not only for skill but the everlasting impression his songs leave on the mind.

Whats your fav?

Queer, it was very misleading title by the way. I never bothered even to read this thread for a few days thinking that it would be something about people like David Copperfield :--)

Oh Eddie all the way.. he’s MIND BLOWING.. not to mention equally talented with the synths..

My bro (The guitar guru) however prefers the likes of Malmsteen.

Here’s another one .. not quite in the same league but I love his style:

No doubt Eddie has great skill but he is just about speed; onr of the very first shredders. His playing never captures the ambience. Dont you think?

If it was just the comparision of playing fast then he would definitely take the lead.

Malsteen is a class act. Too bad he had this accident which rendered him unable to play for some time and they say that he has not been the same again. He is right on the top though with Satriani and Vai.
