I’ve been wondering about a question for some days now, thought i might ask some of the ppl here and may be someone can help me out?! I know it says in the Quran that magic does exist, and it was praticed in the time of our prophet (pbuh) as well. It usually is evil and is used to harm someone. What i wana know is how u can tell when someone or something has been cursed/put a spell on? Some people that fall sick and don’t seem to get better are said to have been put a curse on…I don’t know if this sounds superstitious…anywayz are there any particular prayers/duaas that could be read to break a spell or to get rid of a curse?

One should avoid the persons claiming themselves as the master of magic or self-proclaimed waliAllah because the true waliAllah never exposed himself publically.
Thank you all for the responses guyz, but I am still not clear about something. I don't know what 'exactly' it was that our Prophet (pbuh) did! According to Special2 he prayed the 4 Quls, were they in any particular order, were they to be read at a specific time, a certain number of times perhaps??? Praying to Allah (swt) and asking for his forgiveness and protection is indeed the best thing we can do. May Allah (swt) have mercy on us and give us the strength to stay on the right path...Ameen.
Hayaa Jee:
Special means that the last two surahs in Quran and the other two suras start with the word QUL: Like the Sura Ahad and the Sura Kafiroon:
You can read them in the same sequence as they appeared in the Quran like the Sura Kafiroon first then Sura Ahad and then Sura Falaq and then Sura Naas which is the last Sura and I pray for your betterness.
May allah give us understanding of Islam. May Allah forgive those who harm the innocent people by using the magic tricks.
Hayaa: I agree with the Jak and Zaman that ddo exactly what Prophat (PBUH) did and avoide selfproclaimed liars.
MIRZA YASIR: that is funny, you do not have the enough knowledge about the topic and you don't agree, how it could happen when you do not have knowledge about a topic and you started disagreeing already?
Hayaa: One more thing you can read these surahs any time all the time keeping your pray (Duaaa) in your mind and having your tongue reciting the quarnic surahs, Reciting the darood before and after your duaa is also one more good step to make your dua more favorable near the Allah (SWT) to be accepted. Darood-e-Ibraheemee is the best, it works. The very important thing is not to touch the quran without wadoo, so better remember these surahs by heart or red them from the quran while you are with wadoo.
