Madonna In "Muje Maaf Karo!" Shocker

I dont know if this has been posted. Madonna is not coming in an Indian film as the subject title may sound. In fact she says the line “forgive me” in a number of different languages including Hindi/Urdu where she says “muje maaf karo” in her latest song “Sorry”. After half way the song breaks and then she starts to say things in foreign languages and if you lisen carefull you will hear it.

Its not her first brush with the middle east/south asia. She has also :-

  1. recorded a song in sanskrit om ashante or soemthing like that for her 1998 album ray of light.
  2. wore mehndi/henna during her promotion of ray of light
  3. her 2000 album “music” and 2003 album “american life” were produced by french afghan mirwais ahmadzai
  4. the motorolla adverts she appeared in recently included a brief conversation in Dari - afghan persian and an afghan guy was in the advert
  5. and now she says muje maf karo in sorry.

yeah my brother bought her album recently and he told me about this line…and I heard it..it was pretty cool..

Also recently Ricky Martin, in his latest album “Life” had a song named “I wont desert you” and he has used the old Pakistani song “Haye Ve Mereya dadeya Rabba” as well…and its a pretty good song as well :jhanda:

well sorry is one of the best tracks on the album.....and the fact it uses lines from different languages enhances it appeal...

there are 2 other Madonna south asia-middle east influences

  1. she based her song bedtime story video on whirling dervishes and rumi is or was influential on her

  2. the song erotica had a strong arabic influence and at one stage there seems to be the word "allah" probably from an azzan.
