Her newer songs aren't near as good as her old ones from the eighties and the ninties. Even material girl wasn't that bad. In my opinion she's gotten
to a point where she can reinvent herself only so much (I'm thinking it's also
because she's aging and that's part of that natural phenomenon). This time
around she visibly hasn't been able to alter herself much. La isla bonita,
papa don't preach, star bright....she isn't making music like that anymore.

I agree that her previous two albums, Music and American Life, were major flops. Hardly more than 2 songs on each album that were noteworthy. However, her latest ablum, Confessions on a Dance Floor, is terrific! I love a lot of the songs. She's finally done a really great job, and at least 8 of the songs on the album are catchy and fun to listen to. The videos have put me off (not feeling the whole rollerskating disco thing) but the songs, still great! Can't wait to see her in concert. She's always entertaining.
