I work in my uinversity’s math department and this indian girl Tina works with me there. We were sitting today and a few steps away was our dept. secretary’s computer. Some webpage was open and there was a picture of an arabic man, i do not know what the news was. She told me to take a look at her screen and i did. I asked her what’s up? she said it’s some “paki” or arabic guy. The way she said it ticked me off but i controlled myself and I said, looking at thei picture, i don’t think it’s a PAKISTANI guy, i think it’s an arabic guy, and then then i started to the read the essay i was already reading. She said “same thing, paki, arabic, both muslims, trouble makers”. That was it. i told her, shut up!!! and then we got into the issue that how do you know people who are responsible for 911 attack were MUSLIMS. those people died and burned, i can call them christians, jews, or even hindus and how can you be sure that they were muslims. and we had a lot of arguments and then looking at my face, she had to shut up because she has no other choice and i was supporting my points.

alright i won’t bore you with it anymore, just needed to get it off of my chest because whenever i think about that, i get mad this happened two hours ago.

.. and therein lies the entire problem. Instead of leading by example, we're big on words.. oh yeh, we can convince anyone with our arguments, but we wont change ourselves to represent what islam is about ...

honestly speaking I think it was stupid of u to put up the argument of "how do u know they were Muslims?". well, I don't think they were muslims either but THAT is what they call themselves, the proof is out there, don't be so ignorant. and try to explain how ur religion is not what these ppl i.e. bin ladenz are saying. that's all.

basma i had to defend pakistaniz and muslims, and anyway, i didn’t lose, well the point wasn’t to win the argument but i gave her solid reasons and explanations why everything is blamed on muslims, without even knowing the real people who are behind it. how did they know the people in 911 attack were arabics? did they look at their burned dead bodies? i could say they were christians, why? because there were a lot of people in those planes and anyone of them could have a bomb and could’ve leaded the plane, who knows.

ammarr i’ll only talk about myself and she knows what kind of a person i am but she just had to pick on me because she’s indian and i am a paki.

instinctive have you met bin laden personally? are you 100% sure it’s an ordinary person and not just a political figure that bush raised just like he raised saddam?
