Yeah they are all sweets. Most of them are different types of baklava, some are mamool, fingers, nuts mixture, brid nest, ataif. Most of the sweets have nuts in them, its mostly nuts and the main thing is rose water.

My dad brought this from Abu Dhabi in his carryon luggage i think it was completely gone in three days It’s absolutely delicious.

Oh my GAWD!!!

Starts drooling uncontrollably at the sight of the bakhlava

I’ve just come back from a night out in the Arab area of London… but I ate so much for dinner that I had no room for bakhlava

sigh

These pics will have to keep me going until I can buy myself a big phat box of bakhlava…

slaps himself silly for not remembering to buy a box of bakhlava

No, it’s alright - my dad might be visiting again from Abu Dhabi next month (he lives there), so hopefully he’ll bring another box of this There is one Egyptian bakery close to where we live, but i’ve never been inside…they might sell this, i think. i’ll check it out next time if i drive past it.

Somehow I always find myself reaching for the cream-with-green-lining ones (at the very right of the picture) right away. And totally isolating the pistachio-laden brown-orangie ones (3rd from right). :)

It's like with Danish Butter cookies, the "boneless" ones as I call em (second from left), usually get chomped straight away.
