Two days ago during the migration of GS to new servers we opened a Machli forum for people to temporarily post there and enjoy themselves while GS was down.
It was a shame that few minutes of an unmoderated forum resulted in all sorts of filth and rude messages being posted. It has left a bitter taste in the mouth and while it was a one-off experiment, it is not one we would like to repeat. In future, we will prepare better for such situations.
This experiment has at least showed that having an unmoderated forum on GS, an idea which surfaces every now and then, is probably not a good idea.
A few members posted porn and filthy posts on that forum. Such members have been traced and all of them have been banned.
**There were rumours that mods were involved in posting porn and filthy posts. I would like to state here that no mod was involved in any such activity. if any one of them had been they would have faced the consequences.
Last but not least I would like to thank Anwaar Qureshi on behalf of the whole team for his wonderful effort in keeping that forum clean during this transitional period. Thank you AQ.
**Some friendly banter took place between a lot of members and even ASN took over my nick in that forum. That part was harmless fun and my apologies if anyone took any offence.
