I got my hands on MAC’s woodwinked and had SUCH high hopes with it. But it’s like the pigmentation is really really bad.
I have a fair skin so shouldn’t it be showing up well? Is there something wrong with my application - maybe my brush isn’t patting it enough or should I be using it with a mist spray to foil it? Seems to be a veryyy trivial issue but I just want the look Tanya Burr had in her video ![]()
Re: MAC Woodwinked
Wood winked is an amazing shade, and it's very highly pigmented, try with a different brush or the foil technique..
Re: MAC Woodwinked
^^ what she said. A good brush helps. Are you using a primer. Shadows always go on smoother if a eye is well primed.
Re: MAC Woodwinked
Yeah I did put UDPP but the intensity I have seen on white people I was no where near it :( Can't be a fake though I got it from abroad :(

What is the foil technique? I heard a couple of bloggers mention it but they didn't explain what it was.
Re: MAC Woodwinked
You can foil your eyeshadows and make them look brighter/shinier by spraying them even with water. Though if you want to improve the intensity a lot then pack your eyeshadow on your brush and spray MAC's Fix Plus over. It reaaally intensifies. For a cheaper alternative, ELF's mist and spray works pretty well too!
Re: MAC Woodwinked
Like above posters said. Use a cream based shadow underneath to 'pop' the colour out and build the colour to your liking. I'd actually use the MAC paint (Bare Canvas) as a primer then apply the 'Woodwinked' on top with the foiling technique (wet the brush and dip it gently in the pot and place the shadow in tap motion on the eyelid)
Where did you buy it from? When you said abroad I mean
Re: MAC Woodwinked
Ohh I got it from a MAC store through someone in States. Hmm Yeah I guess maybe then it will show up more. I was expecting so much pigmentation and it didn't even show much. So heartbreaking!!
Re: MAC Woodwinked
I don’t know if it’s just me but I’ve noticed that MAC Woodwinked is quite similar to MAC Tempting. They’re almost dupes. Has anyone else noticed that?
Re: MAC Woodwinked
